My C5 stock system with Bose has terrible reception.
It was bad when I got it but has progressively gotten worse.
It is so bad now that I can not listen to any station unless I am very close to the transmitter tower. FM seems worse than AM.
It seemed to get lots worse when I switched out the front park/signal lights with LED's.
Anyone have any Ideas what I can do to help it out?
Thanks in advance
Jeff
The C5 uses a powered module that combines the two antenna signals and amplifies them. Your module may be bad, or not getting power. The module is under the trim next to the roller that retracts the drivers seat belt. There are several good threads about it if you do a search, or click here for the basic info on which wires should have what voltages.
It's also possible that your antenna wire has just come loose from the back of the radio. Any idea if your dash has ever been taken apart?
