Any use the Peripheral IPOD Interface
Has any one had any experience with this IPOD Interface??
"Peripheral iPod® GM Interface Kit"
Its kind of expensive 150 + 20 for a special interface to connect to the 12 CD Changer connector. Don't care about loosing the CD Changer as the Changer has gone to the junk pile...been on the frits for the last 2 years and finally failed all together.
So just want an easy solution to implement and Ipod (plug and play)
If you have used this Interface Kit can you control the IPOD from the OEM Head Unit, or do you only get to controls thru the IPOD Touch Face? Thanks for your feedback.

I did just that last spring and it works great. You can use the OEM head unit to operate the Ipod but you just get track numbers on it. I had a bad unit at first and Peripheral was very fast in responding to my emails to trouble shoot the problem. Ended up returning it for another and that solved the problem. I ran my wire out the center console so I can use the ipod controls to search for songs and can also hide it from site when I want.
I used the PXHGM4 harness and hooked it up behind the OEM head unit

I just set up my C5 with the Ipod2car. Awesome and very easy to install. You can go forward and back through a playlist on your Ipod from the head unit or use the Ipod itself. It also charges your Ipod...
You should look on Ebay. I bought my Peripheral unit and the PXHGM4 cable for $65.00 plus shipping...
