iPod charging question

I have a Kenwood DNX 5120 with an iPod iP300V cable.

I suspect i know the answer to this but......

If I turn off my car....and if I leave the iPod connected, will it continue to draw (charge) from the battery?

no, but it will probably run the ipod battery unless you turn the ipod off

Cool, that's what I thought. Thanks..

FYI, I don't turn my iPod on when it's connected to that cable, the head unit controls everything

I don't think this is right. I have a DNX 7120 and the I-Pod shuts itself off after a while. I was using it earlier today, and just had a look and it was off.

that is in the ipod settings. not the kenwood

every kenwood i have ever installed the ipod shuts off after a min or so on its own
