Default relay question

Quick question, To use a relay that is turned off when there is power flowing through the terminals, and then turns your accessory on when the power is cut, what terminals go where? I'm talking Bosch style relays with the #87,#86, etc terminals

if you want an accessory on, (if i think this is what you want) this is how to wire it

87= 12 constant
86= acc from radio or other source
85= ground
30= what you want turned on
87a= not used

also, this is for a spdt relay

I think thats what I need. The light switch on the blinker stalk has power going through it when it is in the off position and when it is in the parking light position. When you turn it to headlights, there is no power. I want to use this steering column in my project car, I will power the relay from a keyed on power source (#87), and when I turn the switch to headlights (#86) and there is no power it will turn on terminal #30, which I will use to power MY headlights.

i would do use the switch to headlights, that should be as 86, and the actual headlights as 30. Use 87 as the constant power source, not 12v acc

I wouldn't want a constant power source, but rather a keyed on source. That way when I shut the key and walk away it wont see no power from the headlight switch and turn the headlights on.
