Help in buying an amp
I now need somehelp with an amp selection...
Keep in mind, i'm no expert
Car 1970 vette..
My question is...
my stereo has 4 RCA outputs and are labled as...
Line out LEFT front (white RCA)
Line out LEFT rear (white RCA)
Jack RIGHT rear (red RCA)
Jack RIGHT front (red RCA)
I looked at amps and some had 2 rca inputs and some have 4...
what should i buy and is hookup as easy as it looks??
If i buy a 2 RCA amp, what 2 do i use??
I have 4 speakers in the car at this time..
THANK YOU!!!
Ok.. to remind you, my stereo is
140 watt MAX 35 max each, so we assumed aprox 10 Rms each..
So, with the amp... there are tons of them, BUT.. the number one priority is it must be hidden and i want to hide it behind the Passenger seat in the lift out storage tray in the jack area, 1970 vette.. All this means that it must be under 10 inches by 10 inches..making my selection very limited.... Not wanting a deafining system, just something nice i came across this... Do you think i'll hear a differance???

I generally spend decent money on the Headunit and amp, middle money on speakers (performance to cost ratio is huge in this area), and middle money on RCA's. Never spend any real money on speaker cable, it is snake oil BS, and lamp cord will serve you at least as well as the $5 a foot Monster cable and the like.
I would personally look at the smaller amp lines like the Alpine PDX, the Arc line that is similar, or look into the old school stuff like Linear Power, or Soundstream (when they were bluish/green in color)
G'luck
