I have a 07 Z06 2LZ and I would like to add a 3.5mm jack to the stereo. I read something about a dealer installed adapter that would give me the MP3 plug. Can I buy a clue from someone. Also, what the heck is the plastic cutout that is right in front of the arm rest for?

The plastic half-football is where the optional F55 magnetic suspension control button was installed though '07. If you don't have F55 then you just get a blank plate. From '08 up they have separate consoles for the various options.

The dealer doesn't have any module to get you an AUX port. There are a couple of different ways to add and AUX port and if you click the to the Audio FAQ in my signature below and do a find on the page for AUX you'll find the section they're listed in.
