Having recently completed my stereo install, I found that while my sub amp stays nice and cool at sustained volume, my front main A/B amp was getting warmer than I cared for. I attributed the problem to be the fact that it is summer and I was cranking it. Still, I didn't like the fact that it would get so warm.

I did some research and found that they are now making class D amps that are full range. Apparently, until recently, class D amps have been limited and only suitable for subwoofer power.

I bought a JVC Arsenal KS-AR8002D after doing a little research on it and it's benefits.

Upon receiving the amp, I found it to be a highly attractive piece. It is finished in a gloss black and has a chrome end cap that covers the large easy adjustment *****. The amp can also be mounted in any direction and not look upside-down as the logo is moveable.

The amp sounds as good as my old A/B but I by no means have an audiophile ear. All I know is that after I turned it loud, it stayed as cool as a cucumber after a spirited 30 minute drive.

Overall, it's a great 2 channel amp that won't get hot under the collar.
