Where can I buy seperate crossovers? I am buying a set of MB Quart PVI 213 but I think they are missing the crossovers. I called MB and they said they don't sell crossovers for the 2009 models. Where can I buy crossovers that would work for this? I can't see passing these up for the deal I got. Even if I have to buy another set and try to resell the speakers without components.
Help guys.
this is car audio responses arent lightening fast lol
while crossovers are designed for the specific speaker you can use crossovers from any old set of speakers and it will work decently good just not to its full potential. Unless you are a crazy audiophile you wouldnt know the difference. I have a few sets of crossovers at home PM me if interested
If you want the specific crossovers but can't get them from the factory, then you might have to 'get lucky' on one of the auction sites.
You can always build your own if you have the talent/skills.
If you know the speaker info, you can buy 'generic' crossovers and use them just fine. They won't be specifically 'tuned' to your drivers, but they will work just fine.
Check out Parts Express for good deals on this kind of stuff. Here is a link to the pre-built 2-way crossovers they sell:
I have a pair of Alpin SPX 177r Crossovers (highly tuneable for passives) Granted they were originally designed for 6.5" woofers but 5.25 woofers aren't very far off.
I have a mint Alto Mobile UCS Pro with the RM2 control unit, and a Mint TRU F-2A 2/3/4/5 that I's sell you.... Or I have a Kicker 2/3 way I'd send to you if you paid shipping .
Active is the ONLY way to enjoy the speakers maximum potential!
