I am re-doing my stereo. Originally I kept the stock nav system, added 2 amps, 2 subs and replaced the highs.
I bought a new eclipse avn726e and will probably replace the amps also. I pulled everything out (seats, carpet...) to clean up the wiring.
My question is where should I put the distribution block for the amps? The amps will be mounted behind both seats. The power will be coming from the passenger side and I want as little to show as possible.
Also does anyone have experience with this model? I don't see a place to connect the VSS, only the parking brake and the reverse wire.
I ran 0 gauge about 18" to a distribution block in the battery tray area and then two 4 gauge wires through the existing grommet into the passenger side and back. When cars are all metal you have to think about the wire a little more. If it gets crushed or pinched by metal you might want the fuse very close to the battery so you don't have a hot wire in the passenger area. Not as big of a concern with the C5s.
