Pioneer AVIC error 17 and 11

Pioneer AVIC error 17 and 11
Had my Pioneer AVic 700 installed today and when trying to insert a DVD or a Divi-x movie I get either the error 17 and error 11 and no movies....any ideas why this is? Do I have a bum head unit?

The Avic F700BT doesn't play DVDs either music or video. If you want to watch a movie or video or play mp3s from a DVD, you need to spend a couple hundred more and get an AVIC F900BT. That's the major difference between those two units. That and the fact that the F900BT also has MSN Direct capability that the 700BT lacks.
