DNX8120 mute problem

Has anyone else had a problem when you mute the HU it only mutes the volume about half way down? I've got the the mute wire from the HU connected to the brown wire on the GMAH24B per the instructions and the green wire from the SWI-JACK to blue A7 on the GM24 and the purple wire on the GM24 to +12acc per the SWI-JACK instructions. I programmed the SWI-JACK per instruction and the volume and track up/down work perfect but mute (1-6 button) won't completely mute the volume. Any ideas?

My AVIC-D3 does the same thing. At first I thought it was annoying, but I've come to like it.

its an attenunation feature thats just how it works
