iPod Connector
Kenwood DNX 9140 iPod cable, will the Kenwood KCA-iP301V cable work with the newer iphone 3g and ipod touch which has the 3.0 upgrade, talking about the charging function while connected.

I can tell you that it works with the 2nd gen iTouch's which are pretty similar to the iPhone in design. Mine also plays videos which the manual says they won't on my 6140. My itouch charges as well so I'm sure so will the iPhone since they use the same power pins.

I have version 2.2.1 currently. I'm installing 3.0 now. I'll let you know tomorrow if it still charges. I doubt that fw would stop that since it can't change the pins that are used for charging but I'll get back to you.
