I am thinking of replacing just the rear speakers in a c5 coupe. If you have done this does it sound better do you think it was worth it? The speakers in the rear of my car sound very low and muddled.
the rears dont get a full range signal from the factory head unit.
The bass signal definitely isn't there, but I thought that in C5's the twiddlers all got the same signal.
They're easy enough to replace, the grill just pops out of coupes. Push up from the bottom corners and pull it out to release the small tabs, then slide it down a bit to let the large tab at the top release.
The speaker itself is just a standard 4ohm 6.5". Anything you can buy at wal-mart would sound better than the paper bose speaker.
While you're at it, swap out the front twiddlers for some BA S35's or Polk db351's.
