I have done several vette installations, but never in a C-5. Usually you want to put the X-over as close to the speaker as you can. If you could provide more info as to what kind of X-over you have and what other changes you have made, I should be able to help you more. Feel free to e-mail me at corvetteakio@hotmail.com

The x-over is a MBQuart MusicComp... 3-way ... I was thinking of installing it in the door panel and using double sided high strength tape... I dont have the window commander so I was thinking of installing it were they would put the Window Commander...
This is a pre speaker instead of pre amp crossover. Mount it where you need to run the least amount of wires. If you have both mid and tweet in the door, mount it in the door as you will have to run only one wire to the door, not two. Double sided tape should be fine. Mount it so it won't get wet from the rain or interfere with the window.
The amp dedicated to the sub is actually underneath of the box. It fits perfect. The other one is mounted on a 3/4" platform in front of the crossovers on the rear panel of the car.
