So I have a 99 Z51 hardtop and i want to replace my speakers in the doors and the rear. Anyone know how? And what are good replacement speakers for both. I already have aftermarket head unit its a kenwood. I would like to know if there is a better looking and over all better headunit for it too thanks for all the help.

There is lots of good info and how to's in the audio section. It has some great pics of how to take the door panels off and shows the innerds of the door. The stickys there will tell you speaker sizes that will work in front and rear. There are also links to folks that will sell you stuff to do this with.

Audio section has everything you could need and more. We have great vendors who make the fitment of new higher quality speakers a breeze and great forum members who have detailed threads

you know i have been a member for a few months and i didnt even know there was an audio section till last night after i made this post i was like oops theres an audio section lol thanks though guys for the help.

i would suggest phoenix gold rsd's. they are 6.5 inch and about $110 for 2 speakers crossovers and tweeters. very nice speakers. you can also buy door adapters for the from for about $15-20 on ebay. pm me if you are interested in pictures
