I have looked and looked to find somewhere on here that someone has tried to install a MP3 player by removing the CD changer and directly wiring the MP3 player into the harness. But I have not found anything. So, to be clear, here is what I want to do (if it's possible):
-Remove the CD changer (since it has been ruining discs)
-Wire in a Aux connector (either a headphone jack or iPod connector) into the wiring in the passenger footwell where the connectors for the CD changer are.
-I don't want to have to buy any adapter (ie. iPod2Car or Aux2Car)
-I don't want to bother with adding a relay inbetween the HU and CD changer since I want to remove the CD changer (I have a .pdf that shows how to do this... sort of)
Anyone know if this can be done? I have heard people having problems with the radio not changing to the CD input without the CD changer being hooked up. Is there a way around this?
best bet is to open the cd player and tap the feed inside hit up ls1tech.com and search for jason novak aux input under the car audio section its floating around hwere somewhere also
