I recently added a wideband O2 (NGK AFX) to my car. To run the wires from the passenger footwell, I used a snake to pull the wires behind the console to the drivers side. Ever since then the factory GPS has been inop. My question is, could I have disconnected the GPS antenna or any other wires that could have caused this?
If everything shows up on the screen, but the car can't get a fix on your location, then it's a good bet that you pulled the GPS antenna out of the radio.

Thanks for the reply. Pulling the antenna connector out is exactly what I thought. I've had the dash apart a few times and it's a pain in the a$$. I've been contemplating replacing the factory nav with a Kenwood. Maybe I'll just wait until I do that.

It sounds logical but Im not sure....
My Kenwood and my factory GM units both tell me when GPS is not available. I think if you unplugged the antenna the system would tell you that.
On the other hand,,, where is your antenna??? If it is under the dash where you pulled your new cable, perhaps you simply upset it and it is not pointing up like it should be. If it is picking up one satelite it will not show a fault but also won't update.
Either way it sounds like you'll be getting to know the inside of your console pretty soon.
