New question? What would cause the speakers in the front to stop playing? Today while in the car they just stopped, and the amp not blinks back and fourth from the red protect light, to the green power light?
short in ur wiring, loose power connection, week battery, bad amp
Sooo, how do I figure out which one? ha
I'll go through the wiring with a DMM but the wiring looks to be fine, I disconnected the speaker wires and still does the same thing. When everything is setup as the light switches from red to green, I can hear a very slight pop/sub noise from the speakers on both sides.
I checked the PA manual and it just doesn't say what the red/green blinking means anywhere???
I know PA isn't the BEST equipment, but I thought they were alteast somewhat reputable, do you really think the amp is bad? I mean it's got a 1-year warranty but still, bad already?
possiable, whats ur battery voltage sitting at, and also measured at the amp
Measured at the amp/battery it's the same. 12.1V with the car off, 11.9V in ACC, and 14.7V with the car started. However in ACC and Started, every time the amp switches to protection the voltage dips around 1V and the lights in the car also fade very slightly.
Measured from the battery terminal to the amp, I've got 7Ohms through the Ground, and 13Ohms through the Power.
Any idea what would cause this to happen? I'm more than capable with electronics and I just can't see anything I did that would cause this. I never connected or disconnected anything without first disconnecting the battery (which is odd that I've got the whine since most say the Pioneer HU's only do this when you connect/disconnect the RCA's with power as it blows the Pico fuse)
