Default Factory XM Receiver Interface

Hi All,
Has anyone tried to interface the factory XM receiver to an aftermarket head unit (Kenwood DNX8120, specifically)?

In looking at the XM receiver schematics (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1569046519-post1.html), there are connections for audio left, audio right, and audio common. There's also a connection for Class 2 serial data, which I assume is for station control.

Is there any reason the factory XM receiver can not be removed during the Kenwood installation? The Kenwood KCA-XM100V XM module could be installed in that location. Do you know if the factory XM antenna connectors are compatible with the Kenwood?
