Default RAAMaudio upgrade package progress report, SLOW, why...

I have been slammed with business here and not much time for my Vette audio projects but the real reason is back when I started I must of lifted something on one or another vehicle projects wrong and my knees have never been the same.

Finally had MRI's done and sure enough both are torn so going under the knife soon. I am demanding to get them both done at the same time so I can get back to working on cars again

I have two race cars and two street trucks I am doing mods on and miss working on them!

For now I can sit in the seat and do minor things like HU install in our 3500 dually, etc but nothing on my knees.

Sorry for the delays but I will be offering some very nice setups as soon as I can!

I had an overhaul on my knee not so long ago so I feel you buddy. About a year after surgery before I could kneel again. Here's to a quick recovery.

Thanks buddy
We have to actually toast a few great beers the next time we are in Sac, I was there 8 times so far this year, maybe it was 9!

But now my finance is my wife and in UT with me so not so many trips, sure was fun flying off being newly in love

I will have to tell you what my 02Z is going to become

Rick

Having fun today, we have a huge pile of orders waiting to go out because the trucking company bringing one of our products will now have taken 10 days to deliver what they promised in 3 days. I will offer all my fellow enthusiast customers a very big discount for making them wait to work on their cars but I have to do this, they deserve at least that much.

Yesterday I took care of all I could because another shipper lost another product, how you loose 1,500lb pallets I do not know. That cost me a some serious money as well but at least I could substitute our higher end mat and make them happy which is the most important thing one can ever do in business.

Life goes on, we already have a new shipper lined up and found even better rates, used them before but now they want us back(working through one of my manufactures helps save a ton on shipping anyway

I just wish more people in business understood what it means, we are here to serve, the dollar is not the bottom line, it will take care of itself if you do the right thing.

Ok, off my soapbox for now

Appreciate the positive attitude about customer service.

Best of luck with your surgery - remember to take all the time you need to heal. Thorough recovery is one of the keys to successful surgery. I have a buddy who tried to go hiking too soon after knee surgery and ended up regretting it.

Here's to a speedy recovery!

Happy Holidays!

Good luck with the knee surgery. I've been abusing mine for almost 40 years now, hopefully I'll be able to semi-retire like I plan to at 50 and avoid having to get any of my pieces or parts repaired or replaced. There are quite a few of them that are already sore on a regular basis for no obvious reason

I wish more people had your attitude towards business. Most will do anything for a quick buck or two NOW, but fail to realize that crappy service just costs them repeat business LATER.

Good luck with the knee surgery man. I have a feeling one is in my future in the next few years. Not looking forward to it. Hope you have a fast recovery.

Thanks

I have actually gotten about half the system done in my 3500 dually because I can work without being on my knees, it would be complete but waiting for a few bits to finish up then put it back together I will probably be offering kits for it soon as well, all the GM's with the same interior at least, still working that out with my suppliers, testing to be done, etc......

I put our convertible in storage yesterday since it was under the lift with an unfinished turbo build sitting on the lift over it. Now I can setup my tables, welder, etc and finish the turbo while sitting on a stool or standing, both of which is easy on the knees for me at least I only have around 20 hours of work left on that car then I can move it to storage and bring back the Vert, get the Z06 body parts finished up and ready for paint.

I can probably do the cam, headers, pulleys, exhaust, diff, coolers, etc pretty easily on the lift as well(cam may be the exception here). Just hard to work on the audio as the doors do not open up enough on it. I guess I can put the car on my tallest jack stands to see if I can manage to work on the audio that way. Mostly done so it should be ok except getting under the dash to do more wiring, install the long range paging alarm, etc....that may be hard to do for me until my knees are healed up.

At least I can work on some stuff, I would go nuts if not able to work on anything, why I want to get both knees done the same time and get it over with and get back to my projects( I put in long hours on my business and work at least a few hours every day on the weekends as well so my project time is limited, I have to haul **** when I do get time but I love hard work

Thanks!

I had my knee replaced Dec of 08 (was 46) and having the other checked on Tues for a clean up. Still only about 1/2 way done on the car with the RAMMAT and Ensolite. Need to get it done soon. Good luck on the slice and dice.

Ruptured my quad tendons 7 years ago. Turned 57 in October last year and finally got the courage to go back on my snowboard this year. Not doing the half-pipe like 7 years ago, but just grateful to be able enough to enjoy my fav winter sport again. MAN! Talk about performance anxiety last week when we hit the slopes - I didn't sleep all night!

It's all good.

Thanks for all the encouragement, means a lot to me, scary stuff going on, not the surgery, the after effects, can I do stuff again scary!

I have not skied in 10 years due to a shoulder injury from skiing they could not do much about except 2.5 years in therapy hell, nearly lost my whole arm due to horrible inflamation they could not get rid of(I found the cure for that and saved my arm, really)

This was the year I was going to start again but sold very long skis and bought short ones so I would have to slow down. High speed cruising has always been what I love, maybe why love the track so much My new wife wants to go so it got me all excited now we have to wait until next year, one more is ok for me and she has not gone for a very long time so we are ok with it.

Happy New Year
