Default Component speaker question

why are most of these two way systems and not three?

How do the two way component systems compare to the three way 6x9 for sound quality?

thanks

2 way component system is easier to integrate in most cars. A 3 way set requires good planning and tuning to get it sounding it's best.

There is no comparison between a good 2 way component set and a 6x9. Take the component set every day and twice on Sunday

Not to mention that a 3 way system is a lot more custom work to get it to fit and some people just don't want to go thru that.

Are you talking about component or coax setups? Big difference between the two.

Two way solution for better quality sound IMO, as asking a 6x9, which is an inefficient and non-linear speaker, to play from 35hz to 20khz, is just not realistic. You may get a little more bass output from the 6x9 over the 6.5", but your clarity will suffer.

Asking for full sound reproduction from a single speaker is like asking for a 1000hp motor that lasts 500k miles and gets 50mpg.
