Don't you just want to get a hold of the Eckler's president and ring his neck. I have not seen one thing in there that was not EXTREMELY overpriced :cuss
Doesn't the head unit require a "converter" if you are going to use Bose speakers? Does Ecklers come with the "converter"? How well do those things work?
No dash kit. The "converter" is supposed to convert the voltage from industry standards to what bose does. The one they supply doesn't do that. All it does is allow you to get power from the harness to power the deck. You still need to run speaker wires and install new speakers without the actual converter. And as you can see, buying audio from either of these guy's is a ripoff.

Perhaps that applies to audio component prices? When I shopped for a Weathershield car cover, I couldn't find any prices that beat Eckler's. Crutchfield always seemed to have easily beatable prices, but great information.

I agree. Everyone always wants to jump the gun and blame Eckler's (or some other Corvette vendor) for high prices when they operate on a set markup for most items. Blame THEIR vendors! Besides, it stands to reason that lower prices would most likely come from a source that does the highest volume of business in such items, e.g., an electronics specialty supplier. Even then, Crutchfield is often more expensive.
And instead of "wringing the Eckler's president's neck" I'd rather THANK HIM for their low price guarantee. It does work, ya know. But some people would simply rather bitch. Go figger.
Crutchfield, Ecklers, Best Buy, Circuit City......Ripoffs all!
Ecklers is good though for bringing alot of different things together into one place so you don't need to endlessly shop around for things. Most times I find things elsewhere but they do have the occasional item. Same with the other vendors like MAD and ZIP.
