Anyone install speaker or sub in waterfall?
u say how will the sound get through with the stuff in the way. 90% of cars have a rear deck and thick back seat and the sound gets through it no problem. With lower frequencys you are going to feel it more then you are going to hear it which is why they say with a properly tuned sub setup you shouldnt really be able to tell where the sound is coming from

Now I need to know what amp to buy. I'm ok with getting something used so I just need to know the information I should be looking for to make this setup work great.
Sorry, I know nothing about this kind of stuff. I just wanted sound behind my seats and this looked like the best solution for me.
All suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Edit:
Do you have any plans for the other speakers, or just to add the sub?
With that much power going to the subs, the stock amp will be a bit outmatched. Have you considered removing the oem door setup and replacing the sub/twiddler combo with 6.5" components, then using a 4-channel amp to supply the doors and sub? If you want, you could even keep the stock amp feeding the rears.

I thought I was just adding an amp and two extra sources of sound behind the seats. Really, like I said I'm not sure of what to do. I'm very interested in what you recommend I do with this setup?
I know I need to buy the amp but what else should I do to make this a complete nice working setup.
Never thought I'd be getting into spending as much as it looks like this will end up costing.
I appreciate your input. Thanks.

For the doors, etc. what do suggest brand wise?
I wish I knew electronics, but I don't.
Glad to get advise from those that do. Again, thanks.
So now that I've ordered the setup above and have a couple of amps to choose from, what other components do I need to make this setup complete?
Also, how much money are we talking?

If you're that clueless electronics wise, you might want to just jump on the offer above for the $100 mono Alpine amp and get your feet wet with that. You can always do more later if you want to.
To get the new amp/subs working you'll need to tap into the radio harness somehow to get the music signal and power trigger that will supply the new pieces. The easiest way to do that is with the ADD-GM24. If you can't find one of those in stock anywhere the AOEM-GM24 has that part in the package, but costs more since it also has the OEM1 (which you don't want to use). Approx $10-15 for that.
From the ADD-GM24 you need to run 3 wires to the amp. Music signal and power trigger. Misc wires/connectors $20, but probably less since the kit below should have some of them in it.
To power the amp you'll need to run a power wire from the battery to the amp. That wire will need to have a fuse in it. The amp will need to be grounded, there's a good spot to use near the seat belt roller gizmos behind the seats. I'd suggest getting an amp wiring kit with everything you need included in it. An 8 gauge kit should be fine, $20 tops. I got mine on ebay for $10 shipped, but SE has them also, and you can save on shipping if you get the addgm24 from them also (it's in stock, hurry up and snag it). If you get a kit that has RCA cables and a remote wire, that will save you cash in the 'misc' department.
That's pretty much it, to see more check out this thread.
Looks like another $150-200 should do it. Work on getting the parts for now, worry about the install later.
