If you have a C6 with a sub box can you please post up pics ?
I'm thinking in have a custom one built, or should I buy one from a sponsor ?
I'd like to see who has what and it will help me decide... hows the SQ with the popular ones... I'm not going with JL... not for any major reason except cost.
I'm thinking small one (10") in the corner with a leg on the side for a amp......not a huge full width sub enclosure...
thx alot Tim
I have a guy who might make a sub enclosure/amp rack all-in one for me.....

Reason: adding info
Below is the amp rack/sub box I made for my C6 using 1" MDF & fiberglass.
It was a first time fiberglass work I did, and obviously it looks terrible.
But it was a fun project that took longer than I expected, and I'm sure I can do a little better next time.
I had to place the sub right behind the seats in order to fit the top in the trunk, but the more I listen to, it sounds like the bass is being trapped in the hatch area.
I'm leaning towards making a new box that can be placed towards the rear of the hatch using a shallow sub, just like the aftermarket solutions.
Making a custom box could yield better results by following the exact spec of the driver of your choice, but it'll probably end up being more expensive unless you build one yourself.
single p3 fosgate ten with an alpine 500 run mono. Madvettes box. About as simple as it gets I'm sure but its shocking how good it sounds and how much it adds to the stock system
Tim ... the audio stuff I wanted sold before I could get to it... anyone know about "old school" Soundstream Rubicon 604 amps ? I read they are very clean amps... it's old but I might be able to get it .... I'm looking for a HQ sound in my vette.
Madvette's specs say it will take up to 5" depth sub.
i tried a regular fosgate and it wasnt even close. The shallow P3 is a bit more expensive but try just one first, 2 would just be rattle the brain and kill the ears. One is perfect for me. I also sound deadened mine with madvettes stuff and that helped the road noise but mostly helped the accoustics for the sound system. heres a link to that install below. it looks alot scarier then it is. Pretty simple to do, just takes a good afternoon. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...n-install.html
Started it with a Madvette sub box and had Benchmark Soundworks add some glass to the sub box to make it fit flush to the sides and square off the other side to fit into the amp rack that Benchmark also built for me. Gary the owner is a great guy. I will post the complete install after I get the car back from her trip to the painters.
I have a full box with a couple of boston acoustic g3 subs. There is no way to store the top, but I don't like taking the top off. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow with the subs in it, but you get the idea. The sound was awesome. http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/k...ank99ta/audio/
I like that idea too... It makes me think of having a small version of that with a single 10" and mounting the amp next to it. How do you keep the box from moving forward or side to side ?
send me more pics as you go
i like the way the box follows the curve of the back area.. it fits really well against the back... good job.

MDF attached to the deck and then the cover for the amp rack fits over the top. Tha amp rack and the sub box fit together really well. Very tight fit to the sides of the interior.
