C6 system pics..
I would like to thank everybody on the forum for all their help with product selection as well as installation. So here is a quick list of what I installed.
Kenwood Excelon 993 head unit
Audio Control EQS
2 Phoenix Gold Tantrum 75x2 amplifiers
PPI 356cs components in the doors
2 Boston Acoustics G3 10 inch subs
20 sq ft of damplifier
I went with a single din radio because I couldn't find a double din I liked that didn't have navigation. I used the pocket below to store my usb port so it would be easy access. I fabricated a cover piece to slide in to fill in the hole. I was happy with the way it came out and the vinyl I used matched the texture of the dash very well. I mounted the audio control behind the passenger seat so I would have easy access. I built an amp rack out of mdf and mounted it behind the seats and covered it in the same black vinyl. The box is about .6 cubic ft per side and is covered in factory matched carpet and secured down as well. I used 4 gauge power and ground and 16 gauge speaker wire. I put the damplifier in the trunk, doors and behind the seats. Overall, I'm very happy with the finished product and it is probably the best sounding system I've had in my car in probably 10 years.
