Temp guage capacitor?????

Temp guage capacitor?????

My temp guage has been acting up so I pulled the dash and found that the capacitor wire had broken. I have not been able to find one. Can anyone suggest a seller? Thanks Mike

Do you have the numbers off of the old cap that indicate it's ratings?

First of all, I'd like to thank you for the quick reply. As far as the markings, they are hazy but I see-.5MFD and a lower number 5844184

Have you tried your local Radio Shack?

temp capacitor

I was looking for someone who had addressed this same situation. I wasn't positive of the markings,, and with the forum I thought that I would get some advice. As far as your pictures go,, no they aren't the same. Actually they look to me like the "condensers" that were in the distributors of old!
