PLEASE HELP! IPOD Inclusion
I've read and read, and now I feel like I'm spinning around with no direction.
I have an 05 coupe with Bose 6-disc. I have the xm ant. on the car everything is completely STOCK!
I REALLY want my ipod to be included into the system. I've been reading about PAL... Still not sure if they make one for my car/system. Would it be easier to get the PAL put in or just buy another HU?
If PAL is the way to go, who can do that kind of work easily? Best Buy, Audio express, me? I really just don't want to tear up the car. If the Pal is going to cost me 300, I'd rather pay another 300 and get a new head unit that will allow for my ipod to be adapted... Really just not sure of everything I need to do.

I wanted Ipod and Bluetooth so I knew I had to change out the HU. Changing out the HU will be more work than just pluging in the PAC to get the Ipod to work. You really have to just make your mind up on what YOU really want. After I read about the Ipod connections it was easy for me to go with the new HU. I'm sure the guys will chime in to help you make a decision. I sure didn't want to go thru all the work then think "why didn't I just change out the head and be done".

The GM sold PAL is only for Nav radios 
If you want more gizmos and add-ons, aftermarket is the way to go. If your ONLY goal is to listen to your ipod, continue reading.
There are other adapters you can use besides the PAL, check out some of them HERE
If you don't mind controlling the ipod from the ipod itself, since your car has XM you can do a DIY mod if you don't mind splicing a few wires. To do the DIY and keep XM functional requires an extra switch or relay not shown in the link, click here for the basics. If that's what you want to do, and keep your XM, we can explain what to do.
