Default Bose System Specs ?

Does anyone know what are the Bose systems specs in the C6?

Amp RMS output
Speaker specs?
Sensitivity
Power rating RMS

Is the signal to the rear speakers full bandwidth?

Why no tweeter?

Thanks

Does anyone know what are the Bose systems specs in the C6?
NO

Amp RMS output
Maybe 15-20w to each of the twiddlers, door subs are rumored to be 100w each.

Speaker specs?
Twiddlers are standard 4 ohm, subs are FUBAR.

Sensitivity

Power rating RMS
I wouldn't put more than 35-50w and expect them to last (or sound OK).

Is the signal to the rear speakers full bandwidth?
No.

Why no tweeter?
Bose blows

So if I understand this correctly that means the 31/2" drivers are the tweeters and the back drivers are the midrange with the door subs used for the rest?

No. The subs are subs. The 3.5 and 5.25 are both 'full range' speakers, but the C6 amp also acts as a filter/crossover and eliminates the low frequencies going to them.

Sorry to beat this to death but would this also mean that the high frequencies are filtered out for the 5.25" speakers?

I don't think the hi level is filtered out, but FWIW in the bose system the rears aren't in stereo, they're just mono fill

With C6 Bose the rears are wired for mono, all other C5/C6 are stereo in the back.

Thanks for the help. I am just looking to replace the stock speakers. I don't care to change out the head unit.

Funny thing is, on the very few ultra high end audio competition cars that used rear speakers at all they were usually just mids, sometimes just one in the middle rear, played at low level and a narrow bandwidth, no tweeters, if two sometimes in mono.

I got rid of the entire system right after buying our car and never looked at the ohm rating of the rears but if 4 ohms or close I have some very fine sounding very reasonable cost ones I offer as part of my system packages for those wanting rear speakers. I have several to choose from actually and from very good manufacturers.

Let me know if interested
