The last time I installed a car stereo was 1983 (Pioneer Super Tuner was all the rage). Having said that, I like some help selecting stereo gear for my 71 convertible.
I don't want a rolling boom box, but I'd like to be able to hear/feel the music going down the highway with the top down at 70 MPH, so I guess a sub woofer is in order.
I'm willing to get replacement kick panels and a new dash bezel to cut up. Other than that, I don't want to do any irreversible mods.
What would you suggest for gear, and where should I buy?

Get kickpanels
Polk db6501, woofer in kickpanels, tweeters in dash (kickpanels dont allow for alot of depth but these will fit)
Then maybe 2 8" subs in hatch and a decent sized 4 channel to power it all. What are the specific, wants and goals
