Folks, just did a total stereo system install. Removed complete Bose system and installed a Kenwood DDX514 HU, Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp, JL C2-650 component front speakers and JL C2-525X rears. The system sounds sweet but I haven't put my door panels back on yet cause I'm having major problems trying to get my crossovers to stick to the plastic water proof covers on the doors. I've used industrial velcro, silicone and duct tape to no avail. Any suggestions what to use or where else should I locate my crossovers. Thanks!
I put my X-overs up in the drivers side kick panel. I have heard from many that putting them in the doors is pretty rough on them, so I opted to put them in a quieter, drier place.
Mount above kick panel. Velcro them in so making adjustments is easy from this location.
I have tweeked my crossovers many times trying to dail them it. Pulling the door panel every time would be hard.
