JL ZR 650 CSi ???
I'm replacing my door components and was listening to a set of JL ZR 650 CSi last night. I like the sound a lot - in the showroom. I heard them being driven with only 50w and they were pretty efficient compared to some Focal's that I also listened to. They are at the price point I want to spend ~ $500.
I will be driving them with 2 100w Xtant 101 - one for each door. I have a Kenwood 7120 HU and JL 10w3 sub driven with 600w Xtant amp.
Thought/comments?

I've had these in my 2004 Z06 for about three yrs. now and have been very happy with the sound quality. I also chose these after a side by side comparison with Focal's at my local audio shop. I ended up putting rear speakers back in for fill and went with the X series there as I was told that the quality would not be noticeable between the X and Z's for the rear. I have a JL400/4 powering my speakers and a 300/2 for my sub and have plenty of power....

If you really like the way they sound and they are in your budget, then you should get them because that is all that matters. One amp for each door? I would go with just one amp for both doors if you can. $500 for the set is a good deal.
