Yet another stumper
I tried loading an image for a background today on my Kenwood 6960. In the manual it tells you to go to the background setting and load it in there. Only problem is the background screen is set to "Default" mode so there is no adjustments to be had. How do I get off that screen. Spend about 1 hour and 100 swear words later with nothing. Thanks.

I had the same issue with my DNX 7100. I tried everything. What finally worked was to connect the USB with the jpegs, turn the car off for a couple minutes, turn it back on, then go to STANDBY. From that point I went to the user interface and selected the backgrounds I wanted (3)

What worked for me was to pick the standbye mode, then go back into your background settings and you had some new options to load stuff. Hope this helps. Also once your background is loaded the trick to get it to display full screen (with nothing else on screen) is to push and hold the top left of the screen (ie, where it would diplay, USB, DVD, Sirius, XM, standbye).
