Need advice about adding an amp for my highs...
I just added the ever famous "radio shack tweeters" that everyone is raving about, to my car yesterday...didn't hear that much of a difference though, I though maybe I hooked it up wrong, but then I ran the wires to my sub amp instead of my rear speakers and MAN did they sound good, real crisp and clear...well since I couldn't use my amp for both the sub and the tweets, I just left the tweets hooked up to the rear speakers. (mounted them on the a-pillars) I had the head unit out so I could solder the connections I made when I ran the RCA cable for my amp, so I decided to tap the other two wires on the back of the head unit for the highs in case I decide to add another amp for the highs...I tapped the tan/black and light green/black wires for the signal (RT front and LT front) and ran the wires to the back of the car where I will more than likely put the other amp...did I tap the right wires? The positive I hooked up to the wires listed above, and the negatives I hooked up to the brown wire (radio ground) I tried to hook those wires directly to the tweets but didn't hear anything out of them...did I do the right thing by tapping the two front speaker wires?
