Default How do I remove Rear Speaker?

Trying to get to the rear speakers on my '98 coupe.
Do I need to remove the entire black plastic trim that
has the speaker grill attached to it? I'm assuming the
speakers are not attached to that.
Thanks...

No. You do not have to remove the entire trim panel. The grill will come out by itself.

mrkln is correct, the grills just pull off. There are little flanges near the top on the edges you can gently pry. Once the grill is off, there are 4 screws holding the speaker in. You may have to push the black plastic trim up to access the top one, but just push carefully and you can get to it.

Pull grill off Gently and once it's off, you will have access to the speaker and its' screws.
