I just noticed that when playing the CD Changer I only hear sub freq's from the passenger side door!
is this normal?
I checked the speaker in the drivers door and it's working fine, I seems that there are no sub frequency's being sent to it.
it seems like it has sub freq's with the FM radio.
anybody notice this before?
You mean that the speaker moves under power of the radio, only at higher frequency ranges? Or do you mean the speaker cone can be moved by hand but not under radio power?
You need to absolutely confirm this diagnosis. Try playing different CD's to be sure. Also play different radio stations. Many radio stations have very poor bass output.
Unless you CD player mechanism inside the HU is defective, the problem would be the same for FM or CD. Do you have a CD changer? This would confirm if the problem is in your HU.
the speaker moves but not like the passenger side, all the sub is coming from the passenger door sub woofer.
I'll confirm with different CD's and FM radio stations, but so far I have audio coming from the drivers door sub, but not at sub freq's.
all sub freq is coming from passenger door sub woofer when playing the CD Changer. I'll also try the indash CD player.
it looks like I have a bad sub amp in the drivers door :cry . I tried different CD's and the FM radio. I faded to the front speakers and then moved the balance control left then right playing CD's in the changer and HU and playing the FM radio. sub from passenger door but NO sub coming from the drivers door.
anybody have a drivers door bose amp they don't need? :(
