Radio/Speaker Testing
I have an 84 with the Bose radio. When I got the car the radio did not work. I got another radio (it's status was not known) and it is not working. When turn it on, the LCD s decidedly not right and get pop and hiss from the speakers.
I checked the power (2 if I remember correctly, it was last summer) and ground and they all are good.
Granted, the radio I got is likely bad, I do not want to sink money in to another radio if there is another porblem. Would also like to check, if possible that the speakers/amps are still good. Or could there be something else?
If it is likely just the radio, I will pick one up and drop that in. If it is likely that there are gremlins, I will just go with an aftermarket deck and and speakers.
n.b. The antenna does not go up. It is getting power (I think, it was last summer when I looked at it). Not sure if this make a difference (other than reception issues) or not.
