Default GM PAL Question

Anyone know if the GM PAL with work with the Corvette 360 Lockpick from CoastalETech?

Here's why. I like the functionality of the GM PAL for adding an IPod to the system. I also like the Corvete 360 Lockpick since it adds the capability of adding a backup camera.

I read on the forum that the GM PAL can be hooked up to the XM Unit with a special harness; the 360 Lockpick needs to be hooked up to the back of the original headunit.

Please note, I'm not referring to the Ipod Lockpick from CoastalETech.

Thanks.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I already have the GM unit for the IPod and would be very interested in the backup camera.

As above I have had the GM PAL unit fitted for some time and it works well. I recently purchased and fitted the Corvette 360 lockpick and fitted that. Had a little problem with the wiring loom, they sent me an older version of the loom with a newer version instructions or visa versa. Wrong color wires etc. After a quick phone call that was sorted out and it works well. I purchased their rear view bar camera that fits on the tag mounting screws. Just had to use longer screws. They were very helpfull when I called with my problem, they transfered me to the Corvette expert who was able to solve my problem quickly. I have not been able to try the second video inputs yet but fitted leads from the unit to under the carpet in front of the passenger seat where the fuses are ready. I leave my ipod connected to the PAL all of the time and it does not interfere with the video at all.

A couple of questions please;
Where does the Lockpick interface unit mount?
Did you install the PAL to the xm radio module using Ray Kawal's harness?
I really like the functionality of the PAL but would like a back up camera.
thanks

The Lockpick interface fits behind the Nav Head unit to the right, there is a gap there. It is a little tight with all of the cables but it fits ok. Yes I did fit the PAL unit to the XM radio unit with Ray's harness. That was a realy easy fit. I have the coupe so it is on the drivers side of the trunk space under the carpet at the side. There is plenty of room in there and it is easy to get at. I leave my Ipod connected laying in the cubby on that side of the trunk.

Its hooked to an Auto, the connection is to the fuse box on the floor in front of the passenger seat. It is detailed in the instructions, very simple. I think the connection is the same to an Auto or manual.

Im new (obviously) to the Forum and the Z06 community so pardon me if I'm asking a stupid question, but does anyone know if the GM PAL addition works on the 07 Z06's as well ? <- I have the factory Navigation setup and wanted to see if I could add this on so I could ditch the briefcase of CD's I'm having to lug around

Any help is Appreciated

Yes I believe it fits to the Z06 as well. The PAL connects to the XM radio module which may be in a different place on the Z06. On the non Z06 it is behind the waterfall on the vert and the left of the trunk on the coupe.
