Default Aussie Needs Some Advice

I have a 2005 C6 downunder in Australia. Personal import - no dealers down here. The car has the factory sat nav system but it will not work here because there are no maps produced by GM for Australia. So I have a nice touch screen radio / cd player but no sat nav which is annoying the heck out of me.

Trying to find a solution without buying a full blown aftermarket system. I've come across a Garmin navigation universal black box that will work on any screen via an AUX in. I'm no audio or electrical tech so simple question - does the factory sat nav have an AUX in facility? Remember no corvette dealers downunder and the car is very rare so auto electricans will likely not have worked on a C6 before, so I need some very basic advice.

Sorry mate, the answer is no. Unless you are an engineer and can figure out a way to connect directly into the inputs of the unit. Overall, the HU is not that great. It is made by Denso and I was so disappointed that I fully replaced mine. The upside is that I was able to sell it on eBay for $800 USD and get a much better HU. It is either that as an option or going with a portable NAVi.

thanks for the reply. Looks like a portable nav will have to do for the time being.
