I could use some advice on a head unit choice
I'm in the process of upgrading the audio in our '09 3LZ Z06 with everything in it (but good audio,LOL) I've pulled all the wiring, added a PDX-5 (and bridged the front four), a sub, and Focal Utopias in the doors. I really like the Denso OEM Nav/Bluetooth/ with steering wheel controls and Head Up feature and would like to retain as much of these features along with OnStar as I can in replacing the Head Unit with an after market head unit. I like what I read from Rosen Audio, but it appears that they don't offer a system for our C6 cars and are targeting the GM SUV crowd. If I could add a processor to help the OEM Nav do the job I'd go that route, but it appears that from an audio point of view that's not gonna work. I'm pissed at Pioneer from a support reasoning (or lack of) as the D3 in the C5 vert (our other Corvette) does a great job with everything BUT not being able to pull any of the contacts from our cellphones (Pioneer techs tell me they don't offer any models that will do a lot of smartphones!) I would think the new 110/120s might, but I'm not chancing it). I'd appreciate some feedback on the compatibility of any options available in either add ons to the OEM Denso, or head replacements. I've looked at Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, and (shudder) Pioneer, but haven't talked to anyone with much more knowledge than myself (very low) as to the plan. All opinions are welcome at this point. Notation recorded on the processor, Thanks Greg! The Kenwood Excelon Series is high on my list, and I do realize that the head up feature will be lost to me in the upgrade , but as long as everything else stays intact I'm sure the grin will be retained.

I am working on getting a deal setup for everyone as well. As soon as i get the word I will post up.
if going pionee go with the new z120bt I have 2 left of these at 1199.99
I'll be watching Dennis (Kenwood). As you read I'm not a happy customer with Pioneer at this time. Kenwood appears to have bypassed these push/pull contact issues?
X3 on the DNX
I have the older model; DNX9140.
5 Volt preouts.
iPhone works well, including address book.
iPod is great. I don't think I could distinguish between that, and a CD using iTunes Plus or any other 256 kbps.
Great nav. and I don't miss the nav on the HUD at all.
But... I still use a processor, which is currently the Bitone.1 and tomorrow I will receive a JBL MS-8.
The 9140 just does not have the time alignment,EQ, and crossover capabilities that I want.

Very reassuring Craig. Thanks for your your confidence on the Kenwood DNX series. The 9960 is probably where I'm 'headed' (pun intended!)
