A Question about tech2 program for c6

i install used radio for my c6 2007
and theftcode is activated
i went to GM dealer for tech2 program
the technician ask me to get the code number for the radio
he told can"t deactivate the thefcode without the original code for the radio

is it true?? or he doesnt know how to use tech2 steps

yes i think he dosnt know how to use tech2

He doesn't know how to use a Tech2. It literally takes 2 minutes. Just has to be flashed. I have a Tech2 and have done it plenty of times.
