Pioneer F700BT install in 2000 C5
Keeping stock Bose speakers - using PAC OEM-1 Interface. Not installing anything else (no amp, no rear camera, no XM, etc.)

I've wired as follows:

1. Speakers as directed from Pioneer Harness through PAC harness.
2. Red from Pioneer Harness to PAC Harness to yellow wire in footwell.
3. Black from Pioneer Harness grounded to metal using screw close to ignition.
4. Yellow from Pioneer harness connected to yellow on PAC.
5. Blue/White stripped wire from Pioneer connected to Blue/White PAC Harness with RCA plugs. (harness plugs into the opposite end of OEM).
6. Orange illumination wire from Pioneer harness to cream HVAC wire.

I've only ran the above wires and made the speaker connections from Pioneer Harness to PAC. (Plus wiring to EBrake)

One end of the OEM connected to 18 Pin stock radio harness. The 2nd OEM harness (with RCA connectors) plugged into the 2nd stock harness. I believe accommodates several pins. Nothing plugged into or wired to the remaining small stock 4 pin harness.

Seems pretty straight forward but when I tried to turn on......nada, zip the big zero! I checked the Pioneer fuse and it's intact.

Any idea what I've missed or I'm doing wrong?

get a voltmeter out

its one of 4 things
1. bad radio
2. bad ground
3. no constant 12 volts to radio
4. no ignition controlled 12 volts to radio

 

Ok. Thanks. Should I try running the Yellow (battery) and Ground to the Orange and Black in the foot well?

 

go to harbor freight and get a cheap voltmeter
