I have a Nexus One with the Nexus One car dock. Normally I think I'd know the answer to this which would be to get a USB hardwire kit. I've seen them online. However, while I was looking at the Cig lighter adapter for the dock, it says that it outputs 5.3V and 2A. All of the hardwire kits I've seen are either 6V and 1A or 5V and 1A... Nothing with 2A.
Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this? I've currently got my dock plugged into the front cig lighter and it's really annoying.
I have a 2003 C5.
My goal would be to hardwire it to the rear view mirror power source. But I may move the dock to the lower left of the windshield. So location isn't that important.
Yeah, I think that's the only way it's going to be possible without making my own. I don't have the knowledge or skill to do that myself, so I guess I'm going to have to buy that universal cig/hardwire kit.
Then I'll check Autozone and Pep-boys before I buy. Something with an inline fuse would be nice. For me, having it right away instead of shipped is a big benefit. I like to get things done right away.
