I didn't even think about that.
75 seems good enough.
Thanks.

You can turn 150watts down but you can't turn 75 watts up. (Well, with bass boost, but you don't want to wreck your speakers, right?)
I run about 900watts total to my front speakers. I was thinking about upgrading.

150 RMS at 4ohms with 2 channels.
If I use the bridged connection and tap into 2 speakers per channel that should give me 75 RMS at 4 ohms for each speaker.
Or at least that's how I understand it.

I think he misunderstood the amps ratings.
Gattaca, I would NOT take any bridged channel and try to run 2 drivers off from it.
That sounds like a quick way to toast your amp if not your speakers.

To clarify: If you take a 4 ohm channel and run 2 4ohm speakers off from it, you'll be dropping down to a 2ohm load. (Other than a series/parallel wiring config) Most amp companies recommend not reducing the ohm load of a bridged channel.
If you plan on wiring in parallel, you're wasting your time as you'll be getting virtually the same power by running in 4 channel config. Wiring in parallel will maintain a 4ohm load but reduce the power to each speaker to what you would have had if you hadn't bridged the channels.

Thank you for the clarification.
I've been looking for an amp that will fit underneath my seat, and it seems that the higher the RMS the bigger the amp is.

You only need to amp 2 speakers.
Unless you mean to amp the tweeters and mids separately, that's a different beast entirely.
If you want rear fill... power inexpensive rears with head unit and turn them down.
Also, check out Arc Mini.

I didn't even think about that. I can supply the rear fill with the head unit. I forgot how useless it really is.
Thanks everyone.
