I previously added a sub to my 03 Bose system using a SVEN 2. Now, I'm changing the H/U and am keeping the bose speakers for now. I picked up a dash kit and antenna adapter and already have a Periperal SVHGM4 harness and the SVEN2. I don't have any instructions for hooking up the SVEN to the SVHGM4 or to the head unit. I looked over the FAQ and tried the Peripheral website looking for schematics or wiring directions and came up empty. Can anyone help me out? Want to do it right the first time and I've gotten lots of help here before from Penta when I was hooking up my sub. Thanks in advance, Rain
There are no plugs on the Sven, guess it's an older model. It's been in the car for about two years now running my sub I added. It has one set of RCAs and the rest are just wires and I don't know what goes to what
OK, as usual Penta, you were right...the harness plugs into the SVEN, I just didnt know it til I took it apart and saw where the plugs were. I have everything wired up as it's supposed to be after talking with Dave at madvettemotorsports (AWESOME customer service) but now the damn radio wont power up. I checked all my connections and checked for power, all good. I remember someone telling me about the little plug from the back of the stock Bose HU, I know its for the cd changer (don't have one on mine) but I also heard that if its not plugged in or jumpered to something that the radio won't turn on. This seems to be the case as I have checked everything else. Anybody know what wire needs to be tied to what? I'm really hating all this Bose crap, I'll be bald before I get this damn radio working
