Just finished removable system for C5. Two Cerwin Vegs amps removed for racing. Wiring harness can be attached to be played by pioneer head unit for trip to track. Two cerwin vega amps, two cerwin vega 8" subs, four fosgate seperate setups, Pioneer elite cd changer, and Pioneer elite head. Backlit acrylic "corvette" in dash above head unit.
(Nitrous is under CD changer.)
Is your amp rack 'attached' to the hatch floor, or does it just sit on the carpet? If it's attached, how did you do it? I'm going to be putting two amps in the same spot, and would like the rack to be secure if possible. Thanks.
FarmerBob2001,
My amps are screwed into a single board and wedged between the rollbar and the lip. It is sturdy enough for anything but a rollover.
JoeyG,
Thanks. 10# bottle. I raised the level only 1" for wiring. Everything leads into the storage bin where the nitrous is. There I can detach the wiring harness so that I can remove the amps and connect to another harness to listen to the unit w/o amps. Not much volume but keeps me company on the way to the track.
How does the 8" in the corner storage bins sound? I have the stealth box but i am looking for more bass. also- did you build the enclosure urself or have someone do it? Lastly, how much did it cost to put the 8's in the corner? Thx.
