Default New System almost complete, front speaker Q:

head unit: Kenwood 9960 (bought)
Sub: IDQ10 in madvette box (bought)
Amp: JL 900/5 (probably buying)

front speakers:
Considering a 8in driver, with SEAS tweeters in the apillar, sep channels to each(hence the 900/5)

Or I could pick up a set of 6.5 components (brand suggestions?) and run a smaller amp and not run separate channels to tweets.

I am thinking the 8 inch speakers in the door will really make the front sound stage really, really solid.. as long as I find a tweeter with good range..

Thoughts, parts suggestions? My budget is mid-range..

The problem with 8s in the doors is finding 8s that play high enough and tweeters that play low enough.

I run dynaudio 8s with tweets up front. You do lose a little from this configuration.

Not having rear speakers and properly tuning your equipment will give you a solid front stage, whether you use 5.25s, 6.5s or 8s.
