C5 2000 Hatchback antenna power
I know there is a thread in here about how to hook up your hatchback antenna but I cannot seem to find it.
It's about how to power up both antennas. I think one is 12 volt and the other is 5 volt? I've read it but cannot find it.
Anyone with a link perhaps?

I found the thread although it does contain a couple of ideas it does not have a final working solution.
Anyone have this working like stock?
Maybe I'll just mount a big whip antenna on the roof and hook it up like a normal antenna.

Near the bottom...
12v on the dark green wire is what turns on the amplifier, which should be fine for FM. Adding 5v to the pink wire should help for AM, but may cause 'echoing' problems on FM.
Wires mentioned are the ones at the module behind the seat. Antenna schematics are in first link, all other C5 schematics can be found HERE

I bought this regulator at Radio Shack today. It shows input, ground, output. Does the ground portion haveto be grounded or do I leave it alone and just cover it so there won't be a short?

Center pin must be electrically connected to ground. The big metal tab can be grounded, but doesn't have to be. However, it is a good idea to have something metal attached to it as a heat sink (those little suckers can get real hot if not mounted on anything).
