Default Those "in the know" please respond....

I have deceided to retain my Kenwood Excelon head unit & 10 disc CD changer. I am however, changing the amps, speakers & subs...

Please evaluate, critique & give me your honest opinions as to what I have narrowed it down to....

Amps:
(2) Zapco Competition C2K-3.0
Zapco Signal Processor SXSL

Speakers:
Fronts only, (no rear fill)
Dynaudio 3 way components, 8" woofer, 3" mid, 1.1 tweeter
model # DYN 360

Sub:
1 10" JL Stealth Box....

Amps are very good. I am only installing a front stage in my coupe as well. In terms of the sub, I would look into a 12" Image Dynamics IDMAX (one of the best subs on the market today). You will have to make a box for the center well but it will blow the single 10" JL away in both spl and sound quality. :yesnod:

I agree with mrkln. The setup looks good except for the sub. I too agree with the IDMAX since you are going with one sub and a SQ setup.

An installer friend of mine and I were talking the other day about Zapco. I had always liked there stuff and always seemed to sound good. At his previous store, which sold Zapco, he had seen numerous warranty returns on the more expensive lines, Competition line included. Take it for what its worth. I almost got a load of Zapco a few years back. There 30 band EQ is a sweet piece. He did say that it was mainly higher end amps, the rest of the line was real good for him.

IMHO, ditch the stealthbox, you can do better. JL is a reputable brand, but that certain box could use some help. (They compromise space for SQ)

BTW, please post pics of the Dyn's in the door. I'm really interested ;)
