Default What would you do?

Ok guys, if you did not want to change your Bose navi HU and only had a $1500 budget what would you do? The system is going in a 2010 GS Vert 3LT. Sound deadner already taken care of. Please be specific to type, size and placement of eqipment if you can. I am very new to this and know that $1500 is not a lot for improvements, however, it's what I have right now. Please post pics if you have them. All opinions will be looked at and taken seriously. Thanks

If you can DIY a few things $1500 is more than enough

Just as examples...

$25 tops if you check out this thread for the adapter needed to get signal from radio.

$400 gets you a compact Kenwood XR-5S 5-channel amp (contact C5BearsFan of doubledmods.com for his best available price).

$200 is more than enough for a nice 6.5" component set for the doors. I recently installed the CDT CL-E61CF that I got here for $160 shipped.

$50 for the door speaker mounting plates ($10 if you DIY).

$100 tops for some new rears (if you want them).

$100 for a sub.

$100 for parts to build your own sub box/amp rack.

$100 +/- for RCA and power wires.

$1100 total

If you can't or just don't want to build a box you can get one of the commercially available boxes for the rear tub for a few hundred more.

Check out the link in my sig for my current equipment and a pic of my old box for an idea of how it looks (new box isn't quite ready for pics yet). My new box is under 5" tall and completely flat with the shallow mount sub and the small class-D amp.

Default Mod on hold

Thanks guys for your help but something personal has just occured that is going to cause me to have to put this mod on hold. I was looking for better sound quality and a lot more volume. It being a convertible, with a bose upgrade, I will never enjoy it at it's current state. I would really appreciate if you could still make your suggestions as now I will probably be purchasing 1 or 2 items at a time until I have everything. Sorry for what seems to be a premature post but this occurance just happened. Well, always something to steal your joy!!
