Default C5 head unit mounting adapter

I'd love to find a nicer 1 DIN adapter for my head unit that the plastic one Crutchfield shipped. I've seen http://www.humount.com, but don't care for those. Has anyone found a simple, nice looking adapter?

Can you define 'simple' and 'nice looking?' Everyone has a different preference, so it's hard to tell what it is you are looking for.

Metra makes kits that are designed for adapting the GM 1.5 DIN opening to a single DIN. Some have a provision for an EQ or pocket, others are simply flat faced and centered.

Do a search for the following Metra kits to see if they fit what you are looking for:

"Custom" Kit: 99-3300
"Budget" kit: 99-3800
"Turbo" kit: 99-4000

The "Custom" kit is a flat face style. The "Budget" kit and the "Turbo" kit have the provision for the EQ below the head unit.

Scosche also makes GM dash kits. Look for the GM1591B or the GM1517B.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Those adapter look like what I already have. I'm wondering if there's something more closely matches the interior, or a more attractive material in general.
